    Objective To analyze the distribution of compressed breast thickness (CBT) and dose level of average glandular dose(AGD) by the investigation of exposure parameters of mammography and measurement of AGD in different levels of hospitals in 15 provinces of China, and provide basis to establish a suitable diagnostic reference level(DRL) of mammography for adult female in China. Methods According to the requirements of the "Research on Radiation Hazard Evaluation and Control Technology of Medical Radiation", we investigated the age, the CBT, the exposure parameters and the position of clinical mammography cases. The incident air kerma(Ka,i) was measured by manual exposure according to the exposure records, and AGD was calculated using the method of EC guideline. Results A total of 4,372 mammograms and 273 different types of mammography equipments were investigated in 149 hospitals in 15 provinces of China, including screen-film mammography, computed radiography for mammography and digital mammography. For the three types of equipment, the mean value of AGD of craniocaudal(CC) position was1.21,1.77,1.61 mGy, and 75th percentile of the AGD was 1.36,2.22,1.81 mGy, respectively; the mean value of AGD of mediolateral oblique (MLO) position was 1.02,1.78,1.66 mGy, and 75th percentile of the AGD was 1.23,2.46,1.81 mGy, respectively. The median of CBT for CC and MLO was 4.2 and 4.5 cm respectively. Conclusion The AGD of SFM is the lowest among different types of mammography equipment, followed by mammary DRM. The AGD of mammary gland CRM is higher than SFM and DRM.

    Objective To investigate the effects of tea polyphenols (TP) on Hprt gene locus mutation of peripheral blood lymphocytes in mice after 60Co γ-ray exposure. Methods The mice were divided into control group,γ-ray radiation group (1、2、4、8Gy radiation) and TP + γ-ray group (The mice were given a gavage of TP 725mg/kg, 145mg/kg, 29mg/kg after radiation respectively). Blood was collected from the mice hearts after 14 days and Hprt gene locus mutations were examined by polykaryocytes test. Results Hprt locus mutation was induced by 0~8Gy60Co γ rays. The frequency of Hprt locus mutation was significantly higher than that of the control, which increased linearly with doses and could be represented in a linear model Y=1.1795 + 0.6135D. The frequency of Hprt locus mutation of TP + γ-ray group was significantly decreased (P < 0.01) compared to the radiation group. Conclusion TP has protective effects on Hprt mutation induced by 60Co γ-ray.

    Objective To reveal pathological change of carcinoma cells of tumor-bearing nude mice combined retinoblastoma Rb94 gene with radiation. Methods The model of tumor-bearing nude mice was built by inoculating K150 cells. The cohorts were divided into five groups:blank control、Ad-LacZ、Ad-Rb94、radiation and Ad-Rb94 combined with radiation (combining group for short). The pathological change of esophageal carcinoma was detected. Results Tumors of control group and Ad-LacZ group grew actively. Meanwhile, treatment with Ad-RB94 and/or radiation resulted in cancer cell growth inhibition and apoptosis. Compared with other ones, tumors of combination treatment group had fewer karyokinesis and lower level of nuclei hyperchromasia. Conclusion Rb94 gene combined with ionizing radiation shows synergism effect on the inhibition of tumor growth and increases apparently the curative effect on esophageal carcinoma cells.

    Objective To analyze the changes of immunologic functions by detecting lymphocytes subsets rate in peripheral blood of the residents surrounding with radon hot springs. Methods By random sampling methods, 42 residents surrounding radon hot springs were selected as the radon group,and 44 residents with same living habit but with no contact with hot springs as control. The percentage rate of lymphocyte subsets (CD3+、CD4+ CD8-、CD4-CD8+,CD4+/CD8+-,TCR/CD3) of the tow groups was tested by FACSAria flow cytometer among two groups. Results In radon group the averages of CD3+ (t=-4.086, P < 0.01)、CD4+ CD8-(t=-5.7, P < 0.01)、TCR/CD3(t=-2.318,P < 0.05) and CD4+/CD8+ (t=-4.991,P < 0.01) were significantly higher than those of the control group. In radon group, the CD4-CD8+ were significantly low(t=3.162, P < 0.01). Conclusion High radon springs could change the lymphocyte Subsets rate and probably affect immunologic functions.

    Objective To understand the treatment effect of soil covering Mill Tailing Impoundment by the investigation of surface radon exhalation rate. Methods The Power multi-function fast radon monitor with CR-39 solid track sheet which designed by USC was used to measure the radon exhalation rate at four different regions in Uranium Mill Tailing Impoundment. Results In 54 points the range of radon exhalation rate is(0.0911~3.3951) Bq·m-2·s-1, with an average of 0.4107 Bq·m-2 ·s-1. Radon exhalation rate of some sampling point exceeds to a certain value. Conclusion In the absence of considerating the effect of temperature, pressure, humidity, surface temperature and other factors on the radon exhalation rate, the radon exhalation rate substantially below the limits specified in the national standard. The testing results show treatment effect of soil covering is good. To some sampling point, radon exhalation rate should be monitored from time to time to observe the change trends.

    Objective To investigate the configuration and management of personal protective device in X-ray imaging diagnosis and put for ward the normative requirements. Methods Field inspection and document check and personal interviews were conducted in 545 selected medical institutions in six districts in Shanghai to investigate the configuration and management of personal protective device in X-ray imaging diagnosis rooms. Results The configure rate of personal protective device is 99.8%. The configure rate of protective cap is the highest among the personal protective devices (76.9%), and then the protective collar (64.8%) and protective gonad apron (60.5%). 97% of the protective devices are made in China. The service life of 52.7% of protective devices is 5 years or low. The most common lead equivalent of protective devices is 0.35 mm Pb, which accounted for 80.1% of protective devices, and the lead equivalent of 28.4% of the protective gonad apron reaches 0.5 mm Pb, and the lead equivalent of 44.0% of the adjustable protective frames reaches 0.5 mm P6; 46.6% of the institutes clean the protective devices regularly and 39.6% of the institutes disinfect the protective products regularly. 71.7% of the institutes suspend or tile the protective devices. Conclusion The configure rate of personal protective device is high, but lack of rational allocation. Management needs to be improved when it comes to specific equipping and managing.

    Objective To analyze the effect of the factors of gender, age, length of service, type of work and work unit level on the health of medical radiation workers using Logistic model in order to understand the relationship between long-term low dose radiation and the health abnormality of cardiovascular system of medical radiation workers. Methods Collected 437 radiation workers occupational health examination data about cardiovascular system in 2013 in a city of Shandong province, the data were put into an Excel spread sheet and analyzed using software SPSS 22.0. Results By the single factor analysis, it was found that the factors influencing the abnormality of blood pressure and heart rate in cardiovascular system were the gender, age and length of service (P < 0.001). And the data was further investigated by statistically logistic regression analysis. Results suggested that the gender, age were the independent factors to influence the abnormality of blood pressure and heart rate (P < 0.001). Results from single factor analysis suggested that gender, age, length of service, type of work and work unit level were not the factors to influence abnormal presentations in electrocardiograph at the level with α=0.05. Conclusion Gender and age are the independent factors to influence the abnormality of cardiovascular system of medical radiation workers but not length of service, type of work and work unit level, indicating there was no relationship between long-term low dose radiation and the health abnormality of cardiovascular system of medical radiation workers.

    Objective Based on the study of the distribution characteristics of the proton beam, to propose the testing items for the quality control of the proton beam. Methods According to the medical electron accelerator testing items, extract the proton beam testing items was decided. Results The testing items and indexes of radiotherapy proton beam were obtained. Conclusion The testing items can fully test the performance of proton beam.

    Objective Inorder to make readers clear what the quality assurance of Electron Portal Imaging Device (EPID) is and how to make sure quality control. The quality assurance of EPID and the quality control were described in detail; To guarantee patients obtain accurate radiotherapy, we use EPID in the process of radiotherapy. Methods We introduce the quality assurance of EPID and the method of quality control thoroughly via the position setting of EPID, the verification of EPID system collection, the selection and verification of dose measurement method, and the verification of IsoCal option. On the other side, we introduce the application of EPID in radiotheraopy by position verification, dose verification and conventional quality assurance. Results Readers can understand how to conduct EPID quality assurance and quality control; And how to use EPID to verify patient's position, to verify dose measurement and to do the regular quality assurance work. Conclusion completely understand the quality assurance of EPID and the method of quality control. Strict quality assurance measures can make full use of the function of EPID. By the use of EPID in radiotherapy, we can ensure that pateints gain precise treatments.

    Objective To discuss and research results and significance of PET/CT system performances in the verification test. Methods According to National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), manufacturer standard and Radionuclide imaging device-Characteristics and test conditions-Part 1:Positron emission tomography(GB/T 18988.1-2013), with phantom of PET testing, performance verification testing was done as to spatial resolution, sensitivity, scatter fraction count losses and randoms measurement(NECR) performance. Results For firstly testing 14 PET/CT, comparing with the manufacturers' standard values, the data the three system performance is up to standard for the clinical application. The result is as follow, spatial resolution:1cm transverse:(4.91 ±0.75) mm, max 6.24mm, min 4.10mm, axial(5.02 ±0.78) mm, max 7.00mm, min 4.12 mm 10 cm transverse:(5.54 ±0.80) mm, max 6.88mm, min 4.65mm, axial(5.77 ±0.40) mm, max 6.56mm, min 5.33 mm; sensitivity:(7.4 ±2.0) s-1·kBq-1, max 10.6 s-1·kBq-1, min 4.1 s-1·kBq-1; scatter fraction:(35.1 ±6.4)%, max 44.5%, min 23.6%; NECR(10.24 ±5.02)×104 s-1, max 17.70×104 s-1, min 2.97×104 s-1. Conclusion It is necessary to enhance the effect of quality control (QC) of SPECT planar and the fundamentality of the performance test, so that the devices come to the demands for clinical practice.

    Objective To master Ya'an environment gamma radiation levels, understand the residents' living environment natural radiation level of external exposure, and estimate residents' exposure dose. Methods Using stratified random method, We detected real-time environmental gamma radiation dose rate in each township in Ya'an, and make analysis to estimate the environmental gamma radiation dose rate and the effective dose equivalent of the residents. Results Ya'an environmental gamma radiation dose rate was 117.97 nGy/h, and its public exposure per person in effective dose was 0.72 mSv, which were both slightly higher than the average level of our country. Conclusion Ya'an natural radioactive environment is safe and reliable, with no adverse impact on people. It is completely suitable for human habitation.

    Objective China national airborne monitoring center for nuclear emergency is the backbone of airborne monitoring for nuclear emergency in China. Radioactive airborne monitoring can be done in affected area or possible affected area because of nuclear radiation, to provide necessary technical support for the accident and rescue action. Improving the response ability of airborne monitoring under the nuclear accident case can strengthen capability of the nuclear emergency response. It is one of the important means for providing technical support for the local emergency organization. To perform nuclear emergency exercise action, inspect nuclear plan, improve the preparation, training team, running mechanism and science education. Methods In June 26, 2016, China National Airborne Monitoring Center for Nuclear Emergency took part in the process of "Aegis-2015" nuclear emergency joint exercises by the method of different synchronization and full pull exercise. Results This paper introduces the situation of the exercise and evaluation of the exercise action. Conclusion The capability to improve the nuclear emergency response was analyzed furtherly.

    Objective To study and establish a fast measurement method for the radon emanation coefficient of building materials was preliminarily. Methods By selecting the aerated concrete block as research object, radon concentration was measured by using continual radon monitor and sealed chamber. The transportation law inside of the building material and sealed chamber was analyzed. Radon emanation was calculated and compared with the one obtained by standard method. Results The reliability of the quick measurement method was validated by no significant difference between the results of two methods. Conclusion This method can relatively largely shorten the measurement time and help assessing the radiological hazard by radon from building materials. The establishment of this method provide a helpful supplement for the prevention and control system of radiological hazard by building materials.

    Objective To be familiar with the procedure of NEMA by testing Discovery 690 models of PET scanner, process the measurement method, compare the difference between the new and the old model, master and promote the PET scanner performance test method, as to do a better job in quality assurance. Methods According to the NEMA standard and the manufacturer's index, the space resolution, sensitivity, scatter fraction, count loss and randoms measurement test are required. Results For Spatial resolution, the transvers direction results for 1cm from the centeris 4.55 mm, the axial direction is 4.99 mm; the transvers direction results for 10cm from the center is the 5.04 mm and the axial direction is 5.24 mm. Sensitivity test results for 0 location is 6.873 cps/kBq and 6.976 cps/kBq at 10cm location. The result of scatter fraction is 36.42%. Counting loss and random coincidence measurement results are 1.28×105 cps. Conclusion Compared to old models,Discovery 690 model have made a great improvement for the operating process, made it much simpler and reasonable, and reduce the operation difficulty of the NEMA test, and finally can easilybe popularized at quality control work.

    Objective The study investgated the patient doses in current abdominal CT conditions,used the phantom. Methods The phantom experiment was carried in routine mode or low dose mode. TLDs was placed on the surface and target hole of phantom Measures skin dose and organ or tissue absorbed dose and effective dose. Results The dose range of the conventional is 0.148 mGy~96.7 mGy orThe dose range of the low dose group is 0.012 mGy~5.56 mGy, and the effective dose was 14.5 mSv and 1.52 mSv. Conclusion The logical ramethod reduced the patient doses in CT examination, is on establishing a scientific、applied medical reference (guidance) level.

    Objective To compare the application of 2 types of γ counter 89Zr in the determination of the radioactive intensity of positron emission PE. Methods With PE company 2480 WIZARD2, Wallac1470 wizard γ counter samples of the same 89Zr cpm were measured, cpm were calculated, respectively to establishv the standard curve. Comparison study was made for the practical measurements of each sample, the background count, precision, reproduce and relative measurement efficiency performance. Results When the measurement time of 2480 Wallac1470, WIZARD WIZARD2 γ counter was set to 12 seconds, the actual measurement time of each tube was 29.5 and 13.8 seconds respectively. The radioactive activity of 89Zr in the 37~3.7×105 Bq range two model gamma counter measurement cpm linear relationship is good. The regression equation is:y (cpm)=227.09x(Bq), R2=1 and y(cpm)=14.04x(Bq), R2=0.9995. The lowest detection limits both were 37 Bq. The initial value of the counter 89Zr (cpm) was 4263 ±45 and 2589 ±240, respectively. When the total strength of the sample to be measured was 7×3.7×105 Bq, the precision is 0.63 and 0.98 respectively. Reproducibility tests of RSD were:2.51 and 6.33. The relative efficiencies of 89Zr for γ counter measurement were 44.59% and 23.21% respectively. Conclusion The 2 types of PE γ counter is simple, accurate and sensitive, and can be used for the determination of the radioactive intensity of 89Zr. The overall measurement results and most of the performance indicators 2480 are significantly better than 1470.

    Objective To investigate the effect of atorvastatin calcium on the expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and their inhibitors (TIMPs) in rats with pulmonary fibrosis induced by paraquat. Methods 45 SFB grade male Wister rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, normal control group, paraquat-injuried group (model group), atorvastatin-treated group (treatment group). Each group had 15 rats. Paraquat-injuried group and atorvastatin-treated group were both treated with paraquat (50 mg/kg) by gastric lavage to establish the model of pulmonary fibrosis in rats. Atorvastatin-treated group was administered with atorvastatin calcium saline suspension (20 mg/kg). The administration volume was 200 μL. Five random rats in each group were sacrificed for analysis at 7d, 14d and 28 d after poisoning, respectively. The right lung tissues (1 cm×1 cm×0.3 cm) were harvested and embedded by paraffin after 96 h. The paraffin sections were analyzed via RT-PCR and wester-blot to detect the expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1mRNA proteins and their mRNAs in lung tissues respectively. Results The expression of MMP-9 mRNA in atorvastatin-treated group was higher than that in the control group, but lower than that in the model group. TIMP-1 mRNA expressions in model group and treatment group were not significantly different and slightly higher than that in the normal control group. The expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 proteins in treatment group was slightly higher than that in the control group and significantly lower than that in paraquat-injuried model group. Conclusion Atorvastatin can inhibit the expression of-9/TIMP-1 MMP in the lung of paraquat poisoning rats, and prevent the lung fibrosis induced by paraquat.

    Objective To investigate the value of SPECT/CT fusion bone imaging in the diagnosis of bone metastasis of breast cancer. Methods For 96 patients with breast cancer with suspected bone metastasis, intravenous injection of 99mTc-MDP 740~1110 MBq, SPECT total body bone imaging was performed by routine method after 3~6h. SPECT/CT fusion imaging was performed to find the suspicious lesions. Two nuclear medicine physicians first made an analysis of the whole body bone imaging plane image, and then analyze the SPECT/CT fusion image and made the diagnosis. The diagnosis is divided into tumor bone metastasis and non bone metastasis. The diagnostic results were compared with the correct diagnosis of pathology or follow up, and the sensitivity, specificity and coincidence rate of the diagnosis of the patients were calculated by the whole body bone imaging and SPECT/CT fusion imaging. Using SPSS 16.0 software, the difference of body imaging and SPECT/CT imaging data of two groups were analyzed by χ2 test. The difference was statistically significant when P < 0.05. Results Fifty-three of 96 patients were comfirmed to suffer metastasis, 43 to be with non-metastasis. The sensitivity, specificity, and coincidence rate of the whole body bone imaging were 75.5% (40/53), 65.1% (28/43) and 70.8% (68/96). Those of the SPECT/CT fusion imaging were 94.3% (50/53), 95.3% (41/43) and 94.8% (91/96). The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of SPECT/CT fusion imaging diagnosis were significantly higher than that of general planar imaging diagnosis. The difference was statistically significant (χ2=7.36, 12.39, 19.36, P < 0.05). Conclusion The SPECT/CT fusion bone imaging can provide a clear positioning, qualitative diagnosis, and has more clinical application value than the whole body bone imaging in breast cancer bone metastases.

    Objective To evaluate the effect of recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor on acute radiation mucositis. Methods 30 cases of acute radiation mucositis treated with recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor were analysed retrospectively,and 30 cases of acute radiation mucositis without it were selected as a control group in the same period. The control group was treated by saline 80 ml + dexamethasone 5 mg + gentamicin 80000 u + lidocaine 400 mg (after meals + before bedtime) with gargling administration,20 ml each time. The observation group was treated by saline 80 ml + xinlisheng 300 μg. on the basis of the control group. The efficacy of acute radiation mucositis was observed. Results The radiation mucositis incidence of observation group was lower than that of the control group. The grade 3 and 4 radiation mucositis was significantly lower than the control group at the end of radiotherapy (P < 0.05). The in observation group, pain scores were lower than that of the control group,it was significantly differente at the radiotherapy day 35 and at the end of radiotherapy (P < 0.05). Conclusion Recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor can delay the generation time of radioactive stomatitis, reduce the incidence of the grade 3 and 4 radiation mucositis,and reduce the pain,promote healing of radiation mucositis.
