    Objective To explore the feasibility of determining radiosensitivity of human tumor cell lines in vitro using the assay of mtDNA4977bp deletion.Methods Three human tumor cell lines were selected in this study,HepG2、EC-9706 and MCF-7.The surviving fraction(SF),the ratio of mtDNA4977bp deletion and DNA damage were detected by MTT assay and nested PCR technique respectively.Results MTT assay:The SF of HepG2 and EC-9706 after irradiated by 2、4 and 8Gy was lower significantly than that of MCF-7,which showed that the radiosensitivity of HepG2 and EC-9706 was higher than that of MCF-7.But there was no statistical difference of SF between HepG2 and EC-9706.PCR method:The differences on mtDNA 4977bp deletion in mitochondrial DNA among HepG2,EC-9706 and MCF-7 were not significant after 1Gy and 4Gy γ-ray irradiation.The ratio of 4977bp deletion in mitochondrial DNA of HepG2 and EC-9706 increased while that of MCF-7 decreased after 8Gy irradiation.The ratio of mtDNA 4977bp deletion of HepG2 and EC-9706 was higher significantly than that of MCF-7,which implies that the radiosensitivity of HepG2 and EC-9706 was higher than that of MCF-7.Conclusion As a new biological marker,mtDNA4977bp deletion may be hopeful to evaluate the radiosensitivity of tumor cells more objectively and exactly.

    Objective To obtain chitosan(CTS)-ehylene diamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA) compound(CTS-EDTA compound),and compare the chelating ability to Sr2+ of CTS and CTS-EDTA.Methods To synthesize CTS-EDTA compound by N-acylation reaction,and use atomic absorption spectrometry to measure the Sr2+ concentration changes in the SrCl2 solution with CTS and CTS-EDTA respectively.Results FTIR and 1H-NMR spectrum showed that CTS-EDTA compound was made successfully,and CTS-EDTA's chelating efficiency to Sr2+ was over 80% in 10min,but CTS was almost the same as Control.Conclusion CTS-EDTA's chelating ability to Sr2+ was obiviously better than CTS.

    Objective To inspect and improve the measurement methods and quality of γ-ray spectrometry analysis.Methods By the intercomparison on the measurement of 6 radionuclides,including 40K,208Tl,214Bi,214Pb,228Ac and 137Cs,in two soil samples with γ-ray spectrometry in three laboratories,JCAC in Japan,RMTC and our laboratory in China.Results The maximum difference of the values measured by our laboratory is 4.1% related to the total average values,and the difference of the value of low activity nuclides 137Cs is 3.6%.The relative differences of all values meet the requirements.Conclusion The measurement method which we take is correct,and the quality guarantee and control system of our laboratory is perfect and effective,and the results of our measurement are reliable.

    Objective To compare the electromagnetic dosage irradiated from antenna of mobile in east and west human body models,which are somewhat different in geometry.Methods Applying the EM human model based on the digital virtual Chinese,numerical simulation software is designed with the FDTD method.Results Using this software,the differences of computed SAR results in both models of VHP and DVCH are compared,as well as the ascending temperature range in human body was measured with the bio-heat equation.Conclusion The calculation results show that the SAR values decline rapidly along with increasing the distance from head to the mobile.The simulation results of temperature in human head shows that the max ascending temperature value is about 0.25℃,which is in the range of human normal adjustable temperature.

    Objective To Study the influence on the professional workers for long-term exposure to low-dose ionizing radiation,and provide scientific basis for further radiation protection.Method 530 radiation-exposed and 87 healthy workers were chosen for the clinical examination and laboratory test.Results Personal annual effective doses were 1.47mSv,the symptoms of neurasthenia,skin lesion and lens opacity were more serrious than those of the control group,the prevalence increased as working period prolonged.The leukocyte and platelet count was lower than that of the control group.The aberration rate of lymphocytes chromosomas and the rate of micronucles were both significantly higher than that of the control group,and the rate increase as working period prolonged.Conclusion Long-term and low-dose radiation exposure may cause certain radiant injures and radiation protection should be further improved.

    Objective To observe the effects of T-lymphocyte subsets CD3,CD4,CD8 and CD4/CD8 after different dose of irradiation and investigate the cellular and molecular mechanism of immune system injury induced by irradiation.Methods The C57BL/6j mice were divided into normal control and model groups.The mice in radiation hurts model were induced by 60Co gamma rays(0.7,1.4,2.8 and 5.6Gy).The surface marker and intracellular cytokines of lymphocytes were stained with fluorescence labeled monoclonal antibodies.The changes of T-lymphocyte subsets CD3,CD4,CD8,IFN-r and interleukin-4 in spleen celles were analyzed by flow cytometry.Results 1.The T-lymphocyte subsets CD3,CD4,CD8 have distinctly reduced after irradiation.This change range is related with gamma rays dose.2.The CD4/CD8 is significantly increased.3.The Th1 and Th2 have depression after irradiation and the depression level of Th1 is higher than Th2.When irradiation dose is over 2.8Gy,Th2/Th1 shows marked increase compared with the control group.Conclusion It is suggested that the changes of mice T-lymphocyte subsets CD3,CD4,CD8 and CD4/CD8 ratio are caused by different dose after irradiation,especially the imbalance of Th1,Th2 and Th2/Th1 ratio plays an important role in radiation immune harm.

    Objective To study the radiosensitivity of tamoxifen to the human glioma cell lines SHG-44.Methods 3H-TdR incorporation assay was used to detect DNA synthesis in glioma cells SHG-44,which were exposed to 60Co γ-irradiation with 0、1、3、5、7、9 Gy.When T lymphocyte and B lymphocyte from human peripheral blood were stimulated by phytoagglutinin(PHA) and lipopolysaccharide(LPS),the effect of tamoxifen on proliferation of T lymphocyte and B lymphocyte was assessed by the same method.Results Tamoxifen shifted the radiation dose-response curve to the left,with the decrease of D0 values.Tamoxifen(2~8μmol/L) shows no significant inhibitory effects on proliferation of T lymphocyte and B lymphocyte,and there was no significant difference between TAM group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Tamoxifen could increase radiosensitivity of glioma cells SHG-44 to γ-irradiation,and it had no effect on the proliferation of T lymphocyte and B lymphocyte at the concentration of 2~8μmol/L.

    Objective To facilitate evaluation on Cosmic radiation dose received by flight crew by developing a convenient and effective measuring method.Methods In comparison with several commonly used evaluating methods,this research employs CARI-6 software issued by FAA(Federal Aviation Administration) to measure Cosmic radiation dose for flight crew members exposed to.Results Compared with other methods,CARI-6 is capable of providing reliable calculating results on radiation dose and applicable to all flight crew of different airlines.Conclusion Cosmic radiation received by flight crew is on the list of occupational radiation.For a smooth running of Standards for controlling exposure to cosmic radiation of air crew,CARI software may be a widely applied tool in radiation dose estimation of for flight crew.

    Objective To investigate the construction of radiation safety and safety culture of medical sanitation vocation in Suzhou.Methods All medical units registered in administration center of Suzhou were included.The above selected medical units were completely investigated,district and county under the same condition of quality control.Results The radiation safety and safety culture are existing differences among different property and grade hospitals of medicai sanitation vocation in Suzhou.Conclusion The construction of radiation safety and safety culture is generally occupying in good level in suhzou,but there are obvious differences among different property and grade hospitals.The main reason for the differences in the importance attached to by the hospital decision-making and department management officials as well as the staff personal.

    Objective To explore the radioprotective effect of Crataegus on Mouse by intraperitoneally injection.Methods 60 mice were randomly divided into five groups:normal control,irradiation,irradiation+high dosage,irradiation+middle dosage,irradiation +low dosage.The latter three groups were injected intraperitoneally with Crataegus extract 1 hour before they were irradiated by 60Coγ.The others were given physiological brine.The body weight and Peripheral blood routine were measured at 4h before irradiation and 6、12 days after irradiation.DNA content and quantity of nucleocyte in bone marrow were observed at 12 days after irradiation.Results ①After injection 8 mice died of infecton and hemorrhage in high dose group,and all the others survived.②In contrast with the irradiation group,the extract of Crataegus in three different concentrations has the effect of promoting the recovery of WBC,PLT counts in peripheral blood of mice with radiation injury mice.Conclusion The extract of Crataegus can promote recovery of hematological function and protect the bone marrow DNA and nucleocyte of radiation injury mice.

    Objective To study the radioprotection effect and its mechanism of the carrageenan with low molecular weight on irradiated mice.Methods The carrageenan with low molecular weight is applied to mice irradiated with 6.0 Gy rays.30-day survival rate was observed.The peripheral white blood cell counts,thrombocytes and erythrocytes were measured on 0,7,14 and 21 days respectively after irradiation.At various time points after irradiation,the activities of the antioxidant enzymes SOD and GSH-Px were assayed in the blood and liver tissues,and the damage to the cell membrane was studied by measuring lipid peroxides MDA levels.The spleen index was measured on day 21 after irradiation.Results 30-day survival rate significantly increased in carrageenan with low molecular weight group.The carrageenan with low molecular weight significantly promoted recovery of peripheral white blood cell,thrombocytes and erythrocytes,markedly increased spleen index.The carrageenan with low molecular weight significantly enhanced activities of the GSH-Px and SOD in blood,and decreased the MDA level in liver.Conclusion The carrageenan with low molecular weight has marked radioprotective effect on irradiated mice and the biological effect might be related to the hematopoiesis recovery and antioxidant activation.

    Objective To investigate the differences between two test methods of In-vivo and Ex-vivo for monitoring internal contamination of radionuclides.Methods Using NaI Whole Body Counting and HPGe Gamma-ray Spectrometer to make monitoring test among 10 subjects,then compared the results of two methods.Results According to the energy spectrum of gamma-ray made by the two methods,no internal contamination was found in 10 subjects.Conclusion Both Whole Body Counting and Gamma-ray Energy Spectrum of urine can be used as means to monitor internal contamination of radionuclides,but each has merits and demerits.The two methods should not be excluded but supplemented by each other when necessary.

    Objective To investigate the total α & total β of water in main sections of rivers and reservoirs in Guangdong.Methods Using 241Am and 40K as the reference material for measurement of total α & total β,the radioactivity-count ratio was determined according to the radioactive source with different mass-thickness(K),and the linear equation was established.The value K,which replaces measuring efficiency,is convenient with fewer errors.Results The averages of total α & total β radioactive content for surface water in Guangdong are 42×10-3Bq/L and 0.14 Bq/L,respectively.And those of reservoirs and the main sections of rivers are 27×10-3Bq/L and 72×10-3Bq/L,47×10-3Bq/L and 0.16 Bq/L,respectively.Conclusion The averages of total α & total β radioactive content for surface water in Guangdong are very low,but obviously higher in the main sections of rivers than that in reservoirs.That reflects people's production activities have certain impact on radioactivity level of rivers.

    Objective To study Tacho-judgement of irradiated iodine internal contamination in nuclear accident stringency.Methods Efficiency of eight kinds of normal solution with same concentration but different volume(25ml~200ml) was detected using direct measurement of 8192 tract HPGEγspectrometer.39 subjects of normal result after thyroid functional examination in atomic medical out-patient clinic and 39 healthy adults without thyroid affection were selected to measure intensity of radioactivity of 131I in urina sample.Results The detection efficiency decreased with volume in 131I sample.The average level of healthy adults was(0.52±0.26) Bq/d in their urine sample.The 24-hour discharge rate of 131I was 28.2%±14.4% in subjects with euthyroidism after 131I intake.Conclusion The activity of 131I in small volume(≥ 25ml) urina sample measured by HPGEγ spectrometer can be applied to judge irradiated iodine internal contamination in nuclear accident stringency quickly.Excretion function of a subject with euthyroidism after 131I intake can estimate fast internal contamination level in iodine contaminated crowd.

    Objective To investigate the feasibility of a 4D-CT reconstruction of periodical motion target based on the similarity measure of spatial adjacent images.Methods A motor driven sinusoidal motion platform made in house was used to create one-dimensional periodical motion that was along the longitudinal axis of the CT couch.CT data of the phantom were acquired using a multi-slice General Electric(GE) LightSpeed 16-slice CT scanner in an axial mode and Cine mode.A software program was developed by using VC++ and VTK software tools to sort the CT data and reconstruct the 4D-CT.Then all of the CT data with same phase were sorted by the program into a same series based on the similarity measure of spatial adjacent images,and 3D reconstruction of different phase CT data were completed by using the software.Results Compared with the unsorted CT data,the motion artifacts in the 3D reconstruction of sorted CT data were reduced a lot,and all of the sorted CT series result in a 4D-CT that reflected the characteristic of the periodical motion phantom.Conclusions Time-resolved 4D-CT reconstruction of periodical motion target can be implemented with any general multi-slice CT scanners based on the similarity measure of spatial adjacent images,the process of the 4D-CT data acquisition and reconstruction was not restricted to the hardware or software of the CT scanner and has the feasibility and extensive applicability.

    Objective To observe the Immunity characteristic of Lewis lung cancer model of IRM-2 and C57BL/6.Methods To get the tumor and grind it into pieces,so as to obtain cell suspension.Then the concentration was regulated to 2×106/ml.We injected part of cell suspension into armpit of the mouse,0.2ml for each one.Then observe the life of mouse with tumor,the Classification?of WBC in Peripheral blood,and the type of Lymphocyte,and compare them with the healthy mouse.Results The average life of IRM-2 mouse with tumor is 25.5 days,and the C57BL/6 mouse with tumor is 24.5 days.The level of CD4 and CD8 in IRM-2 with tumor is lower than that of the healthy IRM-2 mouse.The level of CD4 and CD8 in C57BL/6 with tumor is higher than the healthy C57BL/6 mouse.The value of CD4/CD8 in IRM-2 mouse is lower than 1,and the C57BL/6 mouse is higher than 1.The level of CD11b in the two strains is all higher than that of the health.Conclusion The value of CD4/CD8 in IRM-2 mouse is lower than 1,and the C57BL/6 mouse is higher than 1.There are obviously difference between the immunity characteristic of the two strains.
