    Objective To investigate the possible radiosensitive effect of human Lactotransferrin (hLF) high expression in breast cancer cell line MCF7,we hereby constructed and transfected a recombinant vector pBC1 containing exogenous hLF gene.Methods Firstly the recombinant plasmid pBC1-hLF is transferred into MCF7 and the hLF expression was evaluated by western blotting.Then we test the cell viability,apoptosis and clone formation after radiation along with the standard hLF treatment control.Results The hLF gene had been successfully transfect into MCF7 cells and hLF high expression can reduce the clone formation after radiation,and inhibit the cell proliferation with induced apoptosis.But treatment with standard hLF outside of the cell does not work.Conclusions Our primary data shows that hLF high expression can radio sensitize the MCF7 cell in vitro while outside treatment have no such effect.

    Objective To optimize the design of the radiation protection facilities by reducing the source of radiation in nuclear power plant.Methods Lay out the energy radiation-reducing technical scheme by analyzing the ways of reducing occupational radiation Result Occupational radiation is mainly resulted from the eroding products in nuclear power plants.Reaults of reducing the source of these products are confirmed by analysis and experiment.Conclusion Reducing the source of nuclear radiation of the nuclear power plants to lower occupational radiation is probably the best way of optimizing the radiation protection facilities for the improved second-generation nuclear power plants in our country.

    Objective To study the time distribution of radiation doses to Chinese public from atmospheric nuclear tests.Methods Based on the measured data of 90Sr annual deposition density in China from 1962 to 1987 by Health system,90Sr annual deposition data and methodology for calculating other radionuclides' deposition densities in UNSCEAR 2000 reports,we calculated annual effective doses to Chinese public from atmospheric nuclear tests using the new dosimetry model and parameters in UNSCEAR 2000 reports.Results Chinese public received the biggest doses in 1959 and 1963,0.203mSv/a and 0.202mSv/a.After 1963,doses to Chinese public were decreasing gradually and there was a little peak in around 1971 or so.Conclusion Time distribution of our results,radiation doses to Chinese public from atmospheric nuclear tests,were consistent with the global results in UNSCEAR 2000 reports on the whole.

    Objective To investigate biological effect of millimeter wave by studying the changes on the blood biochemical index in rats irradiated by high power millimeter wave.Methods Changes on the three blood biochemical index AST (aspartate aminotransferase),CK (enzyme creatine phosphokinase) and LDH (lactate dehydro enzyme) are measured in rats irradiated by short-time(shorter than 50s) local high power millimeter wave.Results The index AST,CK and LDH increase obviously with irradiated time increasing.Conclusion The results show that short-time local high power millimeter wave irradiation may injure organs like?heart,liver and skeletal muscles etc;The biochemical index AST,CK,LDH can be used as important biochemical index to study biological effects of millimeter wave irradiation;The biochemical index which is from the date of 1 hour after irradiation has a close correlation with the radiation dose.It can be used as the best measuring time of biochemical index.

    Objective To study the effect of inhibition on the growth of ovarian carcinoma cells by introduction of foreign IL-21 gene.Methods The recombinant IL-21 gene adenovirus vector was transfected into ovarian carcinoma cell line ES-2.The cells growth curve and cells cycle of ES-2 cells were detected by MTT assay and flow cytometry respectively.Results The growth of ES-2 cells transfected with Ad-IL-21 was slower than that of Ad-lacZ and blank control,especially at 3ird day after transfection(P<0.05).Compared with Ad-lacZ and blank control,cell growth at 5th day after infection was inhibited significantly(P<0.05).Cells of G1 phases transfected with Ad-IL-21 increased,cells of G2 and S phases decreased.Conclusion The recombinant IL-21 gene adenovirus vector can transfect ES-2 cells efficiently and inhibit ES-2 cell growth.

    Objective Whole blood lymphocytes samples being exposed to neutrons of 18MeV energy and 60Coγ-rays respectively,both good dose-response relationships and relative biological effectiveness (RBE) were derived.Methods Heparinized whole blood samples were exposed to neutrons and 60Coγ-rays,respectively.Radiation doses were from 0.5 Gy to 3.0 Gy.Dose rate was 0.2 Gy/min.Unstable chromosomal aberrations dicentrics and centric rings (dic+r),the same as Micronuclei in binucleated cells,were scored.Relative biological effectiveness (RBE) values of "dic+r" and Micronucleus were derived.Results Chromosomal aberrations ("dic+r") and Micronucleus induced by either neutrons or 60Coγ-rays had a good dose-response relationship.RBE value of chromosomal aberrations,exposed neutrons at 0.5-3.0 Gy,ranged from 1.59 to 2.81,similarly,micronucleus from 1.23 to 2.14.Conclusion linear-quadratic dose-response was found for the induction of dic+r and Micronucleus in human lymphocytes exposed in vitro to neutrons of 18MeV energy.neutrons has higher biological effectiveness in low doses.

    Objective To investigate the peripheral blood lymphocyte micronucleus rate changes of the underground gold mine workers.Methods Cytokinesis-block micronucleus test analysis of micronucleus rate changes in the peripheral blood lymphocyte was made in the staff of one gold mine in our province.Results The peripheral blood lymphocyte micronucleus cell rate was 10.8‰ in 56 underground workers,micronucleus rate of 11.6 ‰,significantly higher than that of the normal control group (8.7‰,9‰) P<0.05.There are signifieant differences between the mine workers of various work age groups and the control group in statistical analysis (P<0.05).Micro-nuclear detection rate in workers of 6~10 years and over 20 years of work was significantly higher those under 5 years.There is a marked statistical significance (P<0.05),but there is no statisticall significance among other work age groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The gold mine employees in the DNA genetic material has been subject to varying degrees of damage.To minimize the occupational hazards,it is necessary to strengthen the prevention and control measures.

    Objective To study on the role of PQQ (pyrroloquinoline quinone) in the γ-ray radiation protection of mice.Methods 40 Kunming mice were randomly divided into four groups,namely,non-irradiated group,the simple exposure group,exposure to pre-treatment group,treatment group after irradiation.PQQ mice oral administration was given according to the weight of the daily dose of 2mg/kg,continuous drug delivery for 7 days.60Coγ-ray single irradiation,dose 5 Gy.On the 8th day after irradiation,the mice were killed by cervical dislocation.The collection of serum,liver homogenate was for the determination of biochemical indicators.HE staining of liver slices produced.Results irradiated mouse serum and liver SOD,T-AOC decreased significantly (P<0.05),MDA was significantly higher (P<0.05).Radiation treatment group serum SOD,T-AOC were significantly higher (P<0.05),MDA was significantly reduced (P<0.05);liver SOD content was significantly higher (P<0.05).All irradiated mice liver plate shows liver disorders,edema of liver cells,degeneration and necrosis.Conclusion γ-irradiation in mice induced systemic oxidative stress.Liver is one of the radiation-sensitive organs.PQQ for γ-ray irradiation-induced oxidative stress in mice has some protective effect.Its mechanism:PQQ can directly scavenge free radicals,at the same time,mobilize the whole body irradiated mice scavenging system,particularly the activity of SOD and reduce the generation of free radicals and the free radical content.

    Objective To observe and analyze the feature and dose-effect relationship of radiation induced DNA damage in human blood lymphocy by the SCGE after irradiated 1day and 22days.Methods The C57BL/6j mice were divided into false irrdiation group and model groups.The radiation-hurt model was induced by 60CO gamma rays (1.0,2.0,4.0 and 8.0 Gy).The changes of lymphocyte DNA damage after irradiated 1day and 22days were detected and analyzed by SCGE.Results The characteristic changes of radiation induced DNA damage in human blood lymphocy was found after irradiated 1day and 22days.The statistically singnificant dose-effect relationship was observed in cl,HDNA,TDNA,CL,TL,HT,TL,TL/HL,TM,OTM assay by the SCGE.The characteristic changes of radiation induced DNA damage after irradiated 22days was particularly notable to after irradiated 1day.Conclusion It is suggested that the anaysis of SCGE could serve as a new radiation biodosimeter after irradiation damage.

    Objective To investigate error and main cause of producing error on volume error of rebuild CT image on treatment planning system in three dimensional conformal radiation therapy,to provide important basis for selecting CT scanning condition,depiction of target area,working out treatment plan and accurate execution of three dimensional conformal radiation therapy,for reducing error,preventing happenchance of unskillful and faulty medical or surgical treatment and improving curativ effect.Method To scan the self-made phantom a on different CT scanning condition,the data is imported to TPS,to begin three dimensional rebuid,the volume of light,middle,small simulating tumour rebuid CT image is compared with the volume of simulating tumour.Results The difference in condition results in the difference in the rebuild CT image volume of treatment planning system.Conclusion The study may be used to direct selecting CT scanning condition,depiction of target area,working out treatment plan and accurate execution of three dimensional conformal radiation therapy.
