    In this pa per unscheduled DNA synthesis (UDS) was investigated in peripheral immune splenic lymphocytes and sperm cells of BALB/c mice, while exposed to internal contamination of exciting energy resource 147Pm of fluorescent paint with different radio activities.Experimental results indicat that the ultraviolet (UV) induced UDS of splenic lymphocytes and sperm cells revealed a statistically significant increase by low radio activities of 147Pm at the range of 3.7×101~3.7×102 Bq/g.But when the radio activities of 147Pm increased to 3.7×103 Bq/g, the UV induced UDS of splenic lymphocytes and sperm cells were significantly depressed.

    To evaluate the worker's accident death in China nuclear industry, we adopted epidemiological method, ICD-9 death classification principle in investigating the cause of all deaths in 11 units from their setting up to the end of 1990.There were 786 cases of accident death which was in the second place among all death causation.The crude mortality was 50.98×10-5, standard mortality 46.56×10-5, and SMR 1.20 (P > 0.01).Average death age was 34.93 years.There wasn't obvious increase or decrease trends over the years (P> 0.05).The most accident death was injury suffered on the job (29.90%), the second was suicide (22.52%), third, transport accident (10.81%) and next, drowning (8.40%), accidental fall (6.87%), poisoning (4.20%)…….Potential life lose was 25743 years.Relative risk (RR) for accident death of male is bigger than that of female, And the higher RR in radiation group compared with non-radiation group, came from uranium geological team sand mines mainly, while without proof of radioactivity itself.

    In order to accurately or reasonably evaluate harmful extent of inhalation exposure for workers in the workplace, it is important to ensure the reliability and practicality of the personal respirable dust sampler.This new type 5 stage cassette impactor has been comprehensively evaluated or measured under various mimic wind velocity (o, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.3 and 3.5m/s) and different the orientations of sampling inlet to air flow (0°、90° and 180°) to obtain the correlation curves between collection efficiency of this multistage cassette impactor and wind velocity or the orientations of sampling inlet, besides the results of experimental measurement has been compared with some criteria collection efficiency curves established by BMRC, AEC and ACGIH.The results of experimental study indicate that the collection efficiencies curves of this multi-stage cassette impactor under various experimental conditions are very closely matched to those criteria collection efficiencies curves.This multi-stage cassette impactor is an ideal personal respirable dust sampling equipment in actual application.
