Changes are reported here in three dimensional stereologic parameters of rat thyroid glands at 20 months after injury induced by Ⅰ131132Ⅰ with image analysis and morphometric methods. The results showed that colloid and follicular volume density and surface area density of various dosage groups were all significautly smaller than those of the control (0 dose) group, and were dose-dependent (P<0.01).However the volume density of interstitial tissue was negatively dose-dependent (P<0.01).The colloid and follicular specific surface area of various dosage groups were all significantly larger than those of the control group (P<0.01), indicating colloid and follicular volumes were decreased. It is confirmed that by the semi-increase or semi-reduction dose D50 calculated from the regression equation of volume density, surface area density, and absorbed dose that the relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of Ⅰ132 was 10~25-fold of Ⅰ131, i.e., with same irradiation dose, the extent of injury induced by Ⅰ132 would be 10~25 times larger than that by Ⅰ131.

In this paper we reported the findings of cytogenetic study for exposed persons which was performed within a period of 15~26 years after a single exposure to γ-rays at overexposure dose (10.0~46.8cGy).Among these persons, 56 cases were studied with chromosome aberration analysis 22 cases (direct method) and 42 cases (culure method) with micronucleus test. The results indicated that frequencies of chromosome aberrations and micronuclei in the irradiated group were significantly higher than those of controls, but a relationship between the radiation dose and the frequencies of chromosome aberrations and of micronuclei was not found.

This article reported the analysis on the death maltumor situation of inhabitants living around one nuclear power station during pre-operation period of 1988~1991 and 1992~1993 the operating period.Total surrey population in six years is 2585521 person·year, gross maltumor death rate is 116.38×10-5, calibrated death rate is 97.04×10-5, of which male is 129.20×10-5, female 65.39×10-5.An extremely significant differente is noted statistically.Individual annual death rate is 112.00×10-5、120.15×10-5、125.17×10-5、116.45×10-5、105.42×10-5 and 119.16×10-5 respectively. With no marked statistical difference. The highest mortality rate is from the liver cancer, then from the cancer of the lung, of the stomach and of the esophagus.94 cases died from leukemia with a mortality rate of 3.64×10-5, and 5 died from thyroid carcinoma, accounting for 0.17% of the total death cases.
