    The apoptosis in Molt-4 cell (a human acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line) and Ana-1 cell (a macrophage cell line) were studied after internal irradiation with enriched uranium 235U.The cumulative radiation absorption dose of 235U in cultural cells in different periods were calculated.The morphological changes which were observed by electron microscope indicated that Molt-4 and Ana-1 immune cells after incubation with 235U, displayed chromatin fragmentation, margination of condensed chromatin, as well as the membrane-bounded apoptotic body formation.The finding shows that 235U can significantly increase the DNA fragmentation in immune cells, which may be inhibited statistically by CHX and ActD.So both CHX and ActD show radioprotective effect on Molt-4 and Ana-1 cells irradiated by 235U.

    The effcts of prevention and repair of Lentinus edodes on genetic damage induced by radiation have been assayde by using micronucleus test of bone marrow polychromatoery throcyte in mice.T he results showed that the ex tract of Lentinus edodes had some preventive effect on radiomutation when it was given repeatedly before irradiation.It was alsofound that the extract of Lentinus edodes could quicken the repair of genetic damage induced by radiation.The effct of prevention and repair is better when it was given before and after irradiation.

    Methods and parameters of calculating organ doses from immersion in a radioactive cloud released by nuclear facilities were investigated.T he effects on the organ doses of some facto rs such as the g round surface, air density, phantom size and organ structure were analyzed.The relationships are presented between the organ doses and the photon fluence in free air, the radioactive intensity and free air absorbed dose respectively, which can be used to evaluate the organ doses from immersion in a radioactive cloud.
